Bizsafe Level 3 Audit Checklist

bizsafe level 3 audits involve conducting an exhaustive assessment of a company’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Management System to ensure it complies with both MOM Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act requirements and international standards. This usually involves site inspection by an MOM approved auditor, review of documents, interviews with key appointments responsible for risk management implementation as well as interviews of individuals directly involved.

Site Inspection
Site inspection is an integral component of auditing. This step involves traveling to a site and taking pictures of all relevant objects at various angles or close up; then comparing these photos to what was seen physically to determine any discrepancies between images and actuality.

Once an inspection is complete, it is vitally important to prepare a report outlining findings and any recommended improvements. Once this report has been presented to project manager and clients, review should take place prior to approval of its submission. It may also be beneficial to create project-specific checklists based on contract documents for review by staff.

Employees should conduct informal inspections daily. These informal checks should focus on identifying hazards that have appeared since the last inspection. This helps ensure that workplace is always up-to-date and safe while also helping employees to spot potential issues before they become issues.

Interviews with Key Appointments
Audits involve interviewing workers and inspecting related documentations, such as training certificates, WSH Policy, risk management procedures, risk assessment reports and safe work procedures. Established management of change processes as per Question 10.5 are also assessed to ensure they have been implemented; auditors may also verify if communication systems exist for sharing up-to-date information via emails, meetings, WSH bulletins and circulars that help eliminate or reduce hazards at source while improving workplace conditions.
